General questions about using The Little Link Generator website.
What other features does this site offer?
Along with the various features centered around the shortening of long links into little ones, the other two main offerings are currently the creation and management of QR codes and Bio Pages. For more information on these, see the 'Solutions' tab at the top of the website.
Is using this website free?
Yes, all features/solutions on the site are free. This could change for certain items in the future, but we have no plans at this time to add paid features.
It should be noted that while anyone, with or without a free account, can shorten long links one at a time, all other features offered on the site do require a free account to access.
This can be for a variety of reasons. The most common reasons for long links being automatically rejected are not adhering to the guidelines in our published Terms and Conditions and/or the Spam Policy. The link can also be blacklisted if it fails one of our multiple spam/phishing/malicious link checks. Additionally, the link will fail to shorten one if the domain submitted has already been banned on the site for any reason. Finally, if the long link that is submitted to be shortened is not a valid URL, it will fail. These are not the only reasons why you may get an error when trying to shorten a long link, but they do seem to be the most common.
Can I use a custom alias?
Yes, adding and changing aliases or endings of short links is easy. Logged in users have options available for each link they have shortened, which allows them to modify the link's alias. To change the alias for a little link, this alias must be available and cannot be used by another user. Please note that once you update/change the alias of a short link, then original/old alias for that link will immediately stop working.
Do the short links expire? How long do they last?
Long links shortened on tllg.me do not expire or have a default lifespan. We don't remove shortened URLs as long as they're created in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. As such we expect them to last forever, excepting technical issues and other difficulties covered in our Terms. However, registered users who are logged in do have the option to make their individual short links expire which can be setup when the little link is generated.
Can I delete tllg.me links?
Each registered user can delete any link that they shortened while logged in. The user must be the owner of the link to be able to remove it. The option of removing links is not available for unregistered users and users who shorten the links without being logged in.
